Fatigue and corrosion behaivor of energy-efficient manufactured AI6082/CFRP hybrids for mobility sector

by A. Delp - TU Dortmund

Hybrid fiber metal materials possess excellent strength-to-weight ratios ideal in the mobility sector and are a promising approach to increase performance of lightweight structures. Within this work measuring procedures and first results of computed tomography, corrosion investigation and fatigue testing to characterize an energy efficient produced intrinsically bounded hybrid system consisting of AW-6082 T6 and CRFP were carried out as first step to the overall aim of the investigation of the corrosion fatigue behavior and determination of the process-structure-characteristic relationship of this material system.
